Bank Indonesia (BI) issued BI RegulationNo. 8/1/PBI/2006on Emergency Payment Facilities (FPD) on 3 January 2006. This is a facility that allows BI to provide emergency fund assistance to banks experiencing liquidity problems. However, the fundamentals of the requesting banks must remain sound and the banks must be solvent.
