Employment and General Corporate Sector Provisions Addressed under New Law on Job Creation

On Monday, 2 November 2020, President Joko Widodo finally signed off on the Bill on Job Creation, officially turning it into Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation (“ Job Creation Law ”). [1] This latest iteration of the Job Creation Law is 1,187 pages long and contains 11 clusters, 15 sections and 186 articles that between them ultimately revise a total of 77 prevailing laws. [2] This is quite different from the previous draft of the Job Creation Law submitted by the House of Representatives to the government, which contained 812 pages and revised a total of 76 prevailing laws.
