The House of Representatives (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat / DPR) has passed an Amendment Bill toLaw No. 11 of 1995on Excise. The overriding feature of this Bill is to maximize excise receipts to realize the prosperity of the nation. A grand vision but the passed Bill sets much lower limits for these receipts than earlier versions of the Bill that endured the debate and discussion process.
