Exporters on Alert: BI Expands DHE SDA Supervision Through Coordinated Exporter Lists and Natural Resource PPE Data

Bank Indonesia (“ BI ”) has issued Regulation of BI No. 8 of 2026 (“ Third Amendment ”) on the Third Amendment to Regulation of BI No. 7 of 2023 on Foreign Exchange Proceeds from Exports and Foreign Exchange for Import Payments (“ Regulation 7/2023 ”), [1] which amends Regulation 7/2023 in relation to the designation of banks for special bilateral-trade provisions, the basis for BI supervision of natural resource exporters, the considerations that BI may take into account in setting export-proceeds policies, and the application date of the special provisions. [2] The Third Amendment came into force on 30 September 2026. [3]
