The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) recently issued Regulation No. 32 of 2025 (“ Regulation 32/2025 ”) on the Organization of Food Safety Training (“ Training ”), which officially came into force on 16 December 2025. [1] The enforcement of this new framework has simultaneously resulted in the repeal and replacement of Regulation No. 16 of 2021 (“ Regulation 16/2021 ”), which addressed similar areas to Regulation 32/2025 but was considered to no longer be in line with recent legal developments and evolving organizational needs.
