Foreign Exchange Hedging Expanded: More Eligible Currencies, Broader Underlying Transactions and Conventional Sell Swap Hedging Introduced

Bank Indonesia (“ BI ”) has issued Regulation of the Board of Governors No. 21 of 2026 (“ Fourth Amendment ”) on the Fourth Amendment to Regulation of the BI Board of Governors No. 21 of 2025 on Foreign Exchange Monetary Operations, as amended several times, most recently by Regulation of the BI Board of Governors No. 5 of 2026 (collectively referred to as “ Regulation 21/2025 ”). The Fourth Amendment officially came into force on 29 July 2026. [1]
