Framework for Public Company Share Buybacks Updated: Buybacks Must Now Be Completed Within 12 Months of Issuance of RUPS Approvals

In 2017, the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan– “ OJK ”) previously introduced Regulation No. 30 of 2017 (“ Regulation 30/2017 ”) on Buybacks of Shares Issued by Public Companies (“ Buybacks ”) which, as its title suggests, addressed various Buyback-related requirements, procedures and activities.
