First introduced in 2022, Law No. 12 of 2022 (“ Law 12/2022 ”) on Crimes of Sexual Violence (Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual– “ TPKS ) covers a broad range of subject matter relating to TPKS prevention (“ Prevention ”) and TPKS mitigation (e.g. reporting channels, medical assistance and/or legal aid for TPKS cases) (“ Mitigation ”) [1] mandates, including mandates that address the organization of training and education that address both Prevention and Mitigation. [2] In order to reflect this mandate, the government has now decided to issue Regulation of the President No. 9 of 2024 on the Organization of Training and Education for the Prevention and Mitigation of Crimes of Sexual Violence (“ Regulation 9/2024 ”), which has been in force since 23 January 2024. [3]
