The National Nutrition Agency (Badan Gizi Nasional– “ BGN ”) has issued Regulation No. 5 of 2026 (“ Regulation 5/2026 ”) on Nutritional Standards for the Implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Program (Program Makan Bergizi Gratis– “ MBG ”). In essence, this framework establishes various standards for nutritional adequacy, food composition, menu planning and nutritional education, as well as guidance and supervision mechanisms for the MBG Program, and will now serve as an Implementing Regulation to Regulation of the President No. 115 of 2025 .
