In 2016, the Indonesian Government introduced Regulation No. 4 of 2016 on the Importation of Livestock and/or Animal Products Originating from Countries or Zones Within Countries of Origin under Certain Conditions, which was subsequently amended by Regulation No. 11 of 2022 (collectively referred to as “ Regulation 4/2016 ”). However, in order to meet an ever-growing public need for supplies of livestock and animal products, the government has now issued the Second Amendment to Regulation 4/2016 through the issuance of Regulation No. 5 of 2025 (“ Second Amendment ”), which officially came into effect on 3 February 2025.
