In order to alleviate the effects of the ongoing Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak as they impact upon the overall welfare of Indonesian society across various sectors of daily life, including politics, the economy, society and culture, and defense and security, the Indonesian Government has just issued Regulation of the Government No. 21 of 2020 on Large-Scale Social Restriction for the Acceleration of Mitigation to Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) (“ Regulation 21/2020 ”). [1] In essence, Regulation 21/2020 sets out a number of provisions that address forms, criteria and mechanisms for the implementation of large-scale social restrictions.
