Government Introduces New Regulation on the Procurement, Management and Sale of Stamp Duty

As originally mandated under the framework of Law No. 10 of 2020 on Stamp Duty, [1] the Indonesian Government recently issued Regulation No. 86 of 2021 on the Procurement, Management and Sale of Stamp Duty (“ Regulation 86/2021 ”), which will serve as a new benchmark for the organization of stamp duty. The introduction of Regulation 86/2021 repeals and replaces Regulation of Government No. 28 of 1986 (“ Regulation 28/1986 ”), which bore the same title and addressed the same subject matter. [2]
