Government Merges Provisions on Forestry Management and the Preparation of Forestry Management Plans with Forestry Utilization in Protected and Production Forest

As a result of the issuance of Regulation of Government No. 23 of 2021 on the Organization of Forestry (“ Regulation 23/2021 ”), [1] significant changes have now been introduced within the forestry sector. The government has also issued various implementing regulations to Regulation 23/2021. Specifically, the Minister of Environment and Forestry (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 8 of 2021 on Forestry Management and the Preparation of Forestry Management Plans, and Forestry Utilization in Protected and Production Forest (“ Regulation 8/2021 ”).
