Government Prepares Positive Investment List

The government is currently preparing Draft Regulation of the President on Investment Business Fields (“ Draft Regulation ”) which will aim to implement the mandate originally set under Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation (“ Job Creation Law ”) [1] and to attract a greater amount of investment to the country under an updated regulatory framework. This new framework is characterized by simplified investment requirements and greater ease, protection and empowerment for both cooperatives and micro-, small- and medium-scale enterprises (“ SME ”).
