Government Regulation on E-Commerce Finally Issued

After a gestation period lasting several years, the Indonesian Government has finally issued the long-awaited Regulation of the Government No. 80 of 2019 on Trade through Electronic Systems (“ Regulation 80/2019 ”) in an attempt to provide greater certainty and improve governance in relation to the increasingly rapid development of internet and electronic-based trading activities (“ E-Commerce ”) within Indonesia.
