Government Updates Provisions on Construction Assistance for Public Housing and Special Houses

In an attempt to assist the general public to realize the construction of adequate housing, the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation No. 7 of 2022 on the Implementation of Housing Construction Assistance and the Provision of Special Houses (“ Regulation 7/2022 ”), [1] which has now repealed and replaced the previous frameworks that addressed construction assistance for housing facilities, infrastructure and public utilities (Prasarana, Sarana dan Utilitas Umum untuk Perumahan– “ PSU ”), multistory housing (Rumah Susun– “ Rusun ”) and self-built houses (rumah swadaya) (collectively referred to as “ Housing ”), as well as assistance for special housing.
