Governor of Jakarta Clarifies Criteria, Requirements and Mechanism for the Implementation of the Jakarta 2020 Minimum Wage Rate During 2021

In order to alleviate the effects of the ongoing impacts that are being suffered by many businesses due to the economic downturn brought on by the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the Governor of Special Capital Region of Jakarta (“ Jakarta ”) has, under the framework of Regulation of the Governor of Jakarta No. 103 of 2020 ( Regulation 103/2020 ), [1] allowed for businesses which are being economically affected by the ongoing pandemic to submit applications to implement the 2020 provincial minimum wage rate instead of the 2021 provincial minimum wage rate.
