Govt. Establishes SIBINA in Push to Identify Mobile Telecommunications Devices Distributed throughout Indonesia

In an effort to improve and ease the identification of mobile telecommunications devices that are produced and distributed within Indonesia, the Minister of Industry (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 29 of 2019 on the Mobile Telecommunications Devices Identity Database System (“ Regulation 29/2019 ”), which introduces the Information Database System for the Identification of National Mobile Telecommunications Devices (Sistem Informasi Basis Data Identifikasi Perangkat Telekomunikasi Bergerak Nasional– “ SIBINA ”).
