Govt. Finally Issues New Implementing Regulation to Law on Buildings

In an attempt to accommodate the revisions to Law No. 28 of 2002 on Buildings (“ Law 28/2002 ”) that were recently established under the umbrella framework of Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation (“ Job Creation Law ”), the government has finally issued Regulation of Government No. 16 of 2021 on the Implementing Regulation to Law No. 28 of 2002 on Buildings (“ Regulation 16/2021 ”), which repeals and replaces the previous framework of Regulation of the Government No. 36 of 2005 (“ Regulation 36/2005 ”), which was an implementing regulation to Law 28/2002.
