The Ministry of Finance (“ Ministry ”) recently issued Regulation No. 203/PMK.04/2017 on Provisions for the Export and Import of Goods Carried by Passengers and Transportation Crews (“ Regulation 203/2017 ”), which replaces certain provisions originally set out under Ministry Regulation No. 188/PMK.04/2010 on the Import of Goods Carried by Passengers, Transportation Crews, Border Crossers and Consigned Goods (“ Regulation 188/2010 ”).Regulation 203/2017 was issued in order to accommodate the aspirations of the general public in the wake of significant growth in the number of air-transportation passengers.
