The Minister of Education and Culture (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 30 of 2019 on the Prioritization of Indonesian Films and the Utilization of Domestic Resources (“ Regulation 30/2019 ”) in an effort to further boost development of the Indonesian film industry. It is hoped that this objective will be achieved by requiring the prioritization of Indonesian films, as well as the utilization of domestic resources. In addition to the above-stated objective, Regulation 30/2019 also addresses the areas of mandatory certification and working contracts for filmmakers. [1]
