Govt. Introduces Procedures for the Utilization of Right-to-Manage Lands for Investment Purposes within Transmigration Areas

In an effort to stimulate economic growth within transmigration areas and thus increase the welfare of trans-migrant communities (transmigran), the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (“ Minister ”) is hoping to encourage investors to utilize right-to-manage lands within transmigration areas. The Minister has thus issued Regulation No. 13 of 2019 on the Utilization of Right-to-Manage Lands during the Implementation of Investment within Transmigration Areas (“ Regulation 13/2019 ”), which sets out guidelines for said utilization.
