In an effort to accelerate the battery-powered electric motorized vehicles (“ Electric Vehicles ”) program and the provision of charging infrastructure, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 1 of 2023 on the Provision of Electrical Charging Infrastructure for Battery-Powered Electric Motorized Vehicles (“ Regulation 1/2023 ”). [1] As a consequence, the previous legal framework that regulated Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure, specifically Regulation of the Minister No. 13 of 2020 (“ Regulation 13/2020 ”), [2] has now been repealed and replaced. [3]
