In an effort to ensure that Indonesia achieves technological independence and to enhance the competitiveness of the country through control of space technology, as well as to satisfy the mandate set under Law No. 21 of 2013 on Outer Space (“ Law 21/2013 ”), the government recently issued Regulation of the Government No. 7 of 2023 (“ Regulation 7/2023 ”) on the Control of Space Technologies (“ Control ”), [1] which has been in force since 16 February 2023.
