Govt. Merges Regulatory Frameworks for the Organization of Telecommunications Services

In an attempt to establish a more efficient and effective investment climate within Indonesia, as well as to improve the general ease of doing businesses within the country’s telecommunications sector, the Minister of Communication and Informatics (“ Minister ”) has now simplified the regulatory framework for the organization of telecommunications services through the issuance of Regulation No. 13 of 2019 on the Organization of Telecommunications Services (“ Regulation 13/2019 ”). The new Regulation 13/2019 framework will merge, repeal and replace the previous legal frameworks for telecommunications services when it finally comes into force.
