After a lengthy gestation period, the Indonesian Government has officially submitted the final Draft Bill on Personal Data Protection (“ Final Draft Bill ”) to the House of Representatives (“ House ”). [1] If ultimately passed by the House, the Final Draft Bill is expected to set out a comprehensive and unified legal framework which addresses all matters pertaining to the protection of personal data.
