The Ministry of Trade (“ Ministry ”) has issued Regulation No. 22 of 2018 (“ Regulation 22/2018 ”), which amends Ministry Regulation No. 82/M-DAG/PER/12/2016 on Import Provisions for Iron, Steel, Alloy Steel and Their Derivative Products (“ Regulation 82/2016 ”) for the third time. [1] Regulation 82/2016 was amended twice previously through the issuance of Ministry Regulation No. 63/M-DAG/PER/8/2017 (“ Regulation 63/2017 ”) [2] and Ministry Regulation No. 71/M-DAG/PER/9/2017 (“ Regulation 71/2017 ”).In a bid to improve the overall effectiveness of imports of iron, steel, alloy steel and their derivative products (collectively referred to as “ Products ”), as well as to introduce stricter post-border supervisory measures, [3] Regulation 22/2018 addresses the following matters:
