In order to introduce stricter supervision of food packaging, the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “ BPOM ”) recently issued Regulation No. 20 of 2019 on Food Packaging (“ Regulation 20/2019 ”). [1] This new legal framework applies to all types of food packaging, including food packaging which is made from recycled materials. [2]
