In spite possessing significant development potential, franchise businesses in Indonesia have yet to reach their full potential due to a number of persistent barriers which were put in place under several regulations. [1] In order to improve this situation, the Minister of Trade (“ Minister ”) is aiming to boost support for franchise businesses through the issuance of Regulation No. 71 of 2019 on the Organization of Franchise (“ Regulation 71/2019 ”).
