Govt. Relaxes Regulation on the Use of Foreign Ships for Off-Shore Activities

The Ministry of Transportation (“Ministry”) has issued Regulation No. PM 100 of 2016 on Procedures and Requirements for the Granting of Permits for the Use of Foreign Ships for Domestic Sea-Transportation Activities Other than the Transportation of Passengers and/or Goods (“Regulation 100/2016”) in order to expedite the process of granting said permits. [1] With this end in mind, Regulation 100/2016 simplifies the requirements and procedures which have to be met in order to secure a permit, and covers the use foreign ships for the following activities (collectively referred to as “Off-Shore Activities”): [2]
