Govt. Sets Procedures for the Obtaining of Diplomatic Clearance for Foreign Aircraft

In an attempt to improve the protection of Indonesian airspace, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation No. 14 of 2019 on Procedures for the Issuance of Diplomatic Clearance for Foreign Aircraft (“ Regulation 14/2019 ”). In essence, this new framework introduces the concept of diplomatic clearance, which must be obtained by all foreign aircraft which fly to or from Indonesia or which pass through Indonesian airspace.
