In an effort to guarantee food, energy and water security within Indonesia, as well as to support the government’s food self-sufficiency program, the Minister of Forestry has issued Decree No. 657 of 2025 (“ Decree 657/2025 ”), which establishes a set of Technical Guidelines for Food Agroforestry Within Social Forestry Areas (“ Technical Guidelines ”) and which officially came into force on 15 October 2025.
