The government officially required electronic systems organizers (Penyelenggara Sistem Elektronik– “ PSE ”) to ensure that children under 18 years of age who use or access their electronic systems (“ Children ”) are protected whenever they utilize or access their online products, services and features (collectively referred to as “ Online Services ”) through the issuance of Regulation of the Government No. 17 of 2025 (“ Regulation 17/2025 ”). This framework was subsequently followed up by Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (“ Minister ”) No. 9 of 2026 (“ Regulation 9/2026 ”). [1]
