Govt. Update Guidelines for Reimbursement Claims for COVID-19 Patient Service Costs

The Minister of Health (“ Minister ”) has issued Decree No. HK.01.07/MENKES/5673/2021 on Technical Guidelines for Reimbursement Claims for Service Costs Incurred by Corona Virus Disease 2019 Patients (“ Decree 5673/2021 ”), which introduces a set of updated technical guidelines for reimbursement claims for COVID-19 patient service costs that are incurred by hospitals. [1] Through the promulgation of Decree 5673/2021, the framework of Decree of Minister No. HK.01.07/MENKES/4718/2021 (“ Decree 4718/2021 ”), which set out the previous reimbursement claim procedure for COVID-19 patient service costs, has now been repealed and replaced.
