Govt. Updates Emissions Quality Standards for Internal Combustion Engines

In order to implement the mandate set under Regulation of the Government No. 22 of 2021 on the Organization of Environmental Management and Protection, [1] the Minister of Environment and Forestry (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 11 of 2021 (“ Regulation 11/2021 ”), which contains a number of updated provisions that address emissions quality standards for internal combustion engines and generators. These provisions must be implemented by the persons in charge of any businesses and/or activities that operate said machinery (“ PIC ”) [2] in order to prevent air pollution. [3]
