Govt. Updates Provisions on Hospital Classifications and Licensing

In an effort to establish an improved management regime for hospitals, the Minister of Health (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation No. 3 of 2020 on the Classification and Licensing of Hospitals (“ Regulation 3/2020 ”), which sets out an updated regulatory framework for the classification of hospitals, as well as the organization of their activities and relevant licensing requirements and procedures. [1] Previously, said framework was set under the now-repealed Regulation of the Minister No. 30 0f 2019 on the Classification and Licensing of Hospitals [2] (“ Regulation 30/2019 ”). [3]
