Guidelines for the Implementation of Investment-Climate Development Activities

The Head of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal– “BKPM”) has issued Regulation No. 9 of 2017 on Guidelines and Procedures for the Implementation of Investment-Climate Development Activities (“Regulation 9/2017”), which serve as an implementation of Article 16 (1) and (2) of Law No. 23 of 2014 on Regional Governments. [1] Regulation 9/2017 essentially serves as a set of guidelines for central government and regional governments at the provincial/regency/city-level(“Government”)in regard to the development of the investment climate through the implementation of the following three major activities:
