The National Agency of Drug and Food Control (Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan– “BPOM” ) has now updated provisions which address frequently misused drugs and pharmaceutical substances (“ Certain Drugs ”) through the issuance of Regulation onGuidelines for the Management of Frequently Misused Drugs(“ Regulation 28/2018 ”).Previously, matters pertaining the use of frequently misused drugs were regulated under Regulation of the Head of BPOM (“ Regulation 7/2016 ”), which has now been repealed and replaced through the issuance of Regulation 28/2018.
