The House of Representatives (“ House ”) finally passed the long-awaited Bill on Water Resources (“ Bill ”) on 17 September 2019. [1] Prior to the passing of the Bill, provisions relating to water resources were primarily regulated under Law No. 7 of 2004 on Water Resources (“ Law 7/2004 ”), which repealed and replaced Law No. 11 of 1974 on Water.
