IMEI Notification and Registration Procedures Updated

In order to further improve services and supervision in relation to the importation of telecommunications devices, the Director-General of Customs-and-Excise (“ Director-General ”) recently issued Regulation No. PER-13/BC/2021 (“ Regulation 13/2021 ”), which updates procedures for the submission of notifications and the registration of the International Mobile Equipment Identity (“ IMEI ”) codes of telecommunications devices (“ Devices ”) in customs-and-excise declarations. [1] Said notifications and registrations are required so that telecommunications devices can be connected to a national mobile network. [2]
