In an effort to further reduce the number of illegal telecommunications devices circulating within Indonesia, the Directorate-General of Customs and Excise (“ Directorate-General ”) has issued Circular No. SE-12/BC/2020 of 2020 (“ Circular 12/2020 ”), which establishes procedures for the registration of the International Mobile Equipment Identities (“ IMEI ”) of imported telecommunications devices carried by passengers and crewmembers of transportation facilities who have exited customs areas, which encompass the following: [1]
