Import Provisions for Complementary Goods, Goods for Market Testing and After-Sales Service

The Minister of Trade(“Minister”)has issued Regulation No.118/M-DAG/PER/12/2015 on Import Provisions for Complementary Goods, Goods for Market Testing and After-Sales Service(“2015 Regulation”)in an effort to boost investment in Indonesia.In essence, the 2015 Regulation sets out the various requirements and procedures for the importation of complementary goods, goods for market testing, and goods for after-sales service (“Goods”), specifically as they apply to holders of Producer Importer Identification Numbers (Angka Pengenal Importir - Produsen–“API-P”).Import RequirementsAPI-P holders may only import Goods for business development and investment purposes and not for production processes.
