The Indonesian Government is currently completing work on the Draft Bill on Climate-Change Management (“ Draft Bill ”), which has now been listed as one of the 67 Draft Bills that feature as a part of the 2026 Priority National Legislation Program (Program Legislasi Nasional/Prolegnas). [1] The Draft Bill is being introduced as part of legislative efforts aimed at addressing environmental degradation within Indonesia and ultimately controlling the impact of global warming, given that Indonesia is an archipelagic country that is considered highly vulnerable to the mounting effects of climate change.
