In order to satisfy the mandate originally set out under Law No. 18 of 2017 on the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (“ Law 18/2017 ”) that addresses the Provision of Social Security to Indonesian Migrant Workers, [1] the Minister of Manpower (“ Minister ”) recently issued Regulation No. 4 of 2023 on Social Security for Indonesian Migrant Workers (“ Regulation 4/2023 ”), which has been in force since 22 February 2023. [2] The promulgation of Regulation 4/2023 simultaneously repealed and replaced Regulation of the Minister No. 18 of 2018 , which bore the same title (“ Regulation 18/2018 ”). [3]
