The Draft Bill (“ Draft Bill ”) is set to amend Law No. 17 of 2008 on Shipping, which was previously amended by Regulation of the Government in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation (“ Regulation 2/2022 ”) (collectively referred to as “ Law 17/2008 ”), and was officially signed into Law through the issuance of Law No. 66 of 2024 on the Third Amendment to Law 17/2008 (“ Third Amendment ”), which has been in force since 28 October 2024. [1] It should be noted that Hukumonline’s Legal Research and Analysis Team previously summarized the various provisions featured under the Draft Bill in the following edition of Indonesian Legal Brief (“ ILB ”): “ All Aboard!
