The Minister of Law and Human Rights (“ Minister ”) has issued Regulation No. 13 of 2018 on Official Translations of Laws and Regulations (“ Regulation 13/2018 ”) in a bid to accommodate the need for official English translations of laws and regulations (“ Official Translations ”) so as to support both the government’s strategic plans as well as the requirements of businesses and industry. [1] In essence, Regulation 13/2018 authorizes the Minister via the Director General of Laws and Regulations (“ Director-General ”) to create Official Translations, [2] as elaborated upon in the following sections:
