The Governor of Jakarta and the Jakarta Province Regional House of Representatives agreed to issue Regulation No. 2 of 2014 on Cigarette Taxes (“Regulation”) regulating tax on tobacco products. The authority to determine these taxes is provided for under Article 2 (1) of Law No. 28 of 2009 on Regional Taxes and Regional Levies. [1]
