
JKM Premiums Now Excluded from Re-Composition: Employers No Longer Required to Report JKM Participant Data for JKP Premium Re-Composition
In 2021, the Minister of Manpower (“ Minister ”) introduced Regulation No. 7 of 2021 (“ Regulation 7/2021 ”) on Procedures for Participant Registrations and Contribution Re-composition under the Unemployment Insurance (Jaminan Kehilangan Pekerjaan– “ JKP ”) Program. As this title suggests, Regulation 7/2021 detailed the procedures that should be followed by workers or employees as prospective JKP participants (“ Participants ”) [1] in order to register themselves with the Social Security Agency for Employment (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Ketenagakerjaan– “ BPJS Ketenagakerjaan ”).
