JKP Program Revised: Improved Access and Benefits

Back in 2021, the government rolled out the Unemployment Insurance (Jaminan Kehilangan Pekerjaan– “ JKP ”) program through the issuance of Regulation of the Government No. 37 of 2021 (“ Regulation 37/2021 ”), which was aimed at helping terminated workers/laborers to regain employment through the provision of certain benefits such as cash, job training and access to job market information. [1] Now, in order to bring the JKP program into line with the social and economic changes that are taking place within Indonesia, the government has revised the program through the issuance of Regulation of the Government No. 6 of 2025 on the Amendment to Regulation 37/2021 (“ Amendment ”).
