Judicial Review - Broadcasting Behavior and Program Standards

The Supreme Court (Mahkamah Agung / MA) handed down its decision in this case between the representatives of Indonesia's broadcasters and the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (Komisi Penyiaran Indonesia / KPI) on 16 November 2006. However, copies of the MA decision have only reached the relevant parties over the past several days. The decision is interesting for a number of reasons but none more so than the fact that the Decision Letter which was subject to review had been repealed by the KPI before the decision was even handed down.
